Who We Are
With 40 years in the labour movement, we combine practical experience with organizational development principles to support union leadership interested in building their organizations.

Why Engage
The reasons for engagement are numerous. While frequently framed as a necessary response to the environmental headwinds faced by labour, organizational engagement builds resiliency, representational capacity, quality service, and an enduring social identity between members and their union. It makes your organization stronger and more effective.
Follower Perspective
Bookstore shelves are loaded with content on leadership, but are missing a more effective perspective for building organizational engagement. Understanding the relationship from the members' perspective, as "followers," is a critical first step in building your organization.

Constructing Engagement
Changing the culture of an organization is complex and time-consuming, so building engagement should be framed as a marathon, not a sprint. Engagement is created through small, meaningful changes that align member and leader vision for the organizations - members follow purpose.

Member Motivation
What motivates members to invest more time and energy in their union - this is one of the key steps in building member engagement. How is this created, and how is it sustained?
